Applesauce Bread

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the applesauce, sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well blended.
  3. Add dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
  4. Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined — do not overmix. The batter should be thick and fragrant.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
