How to Make Cheeseburger French Fry Bake
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread frozen fries evenly in a single layer.
Step 2: Bake the Fries
Bake fries for about 20 minutes, until they begin to crisp. This step ensures they stay crunchy once topped with beef and cheese.
Step 3: Cook the Beef
While fries are baking, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up with a spoon. Drain excess grease. Add diced onion and garlic; cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
Step 4: Add Burger Flavors
Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Step 5: Assemble the Bake
Once fries are partially baked, remove from oven. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the fries. Sprinkle with chopped pickles (if using), then top generously with shredded cheese.
Step 6: Bake Until Bubbly
Return to oven and bake another 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the fries are golden at the edges.
Step 7: Serve Hot
Let the bake rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, or burger sauce before serving.
