Step 1: Prepare the Zucchini
- Grate the zucchini and place it in a sieve.
- Sprinkle with salt and let it rest for about 10 minutes. This helps the zucchini release excess water.
- After 10 minutes, squeeze the grated zucchini thoroughly to remove any remaining moisture.
Step 2: Mix the Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained zucchini, grated cheese, eggs, oatmeal, chopped chives, and pepper.
- Stir until all ingredients are evenly combined into a thick, cheesy mixture.
Step 3: Bake to Perfection
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (360°F).
- Spoon the zucchini mixture evenly onto a lightly greased baking dish or lined tray.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top and cooked through.
- For an extra-crispy top, return the dish to the oven for a few additional minutes until beautifully golden and crisp.
