Step 3 – Assemble the Tiramisu
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso mixture — do not soak, as they will become too soft.
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a square or rectangular serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and top with the remaining cream.
- Use a spatula to smooth the top, ensuring a clean, even surface.
Step 4 – Chill and Finish
- Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours (overnight for best flavor and texture).
- Before serving, dust the top generously with unsweetened cocoa powder.
