Crazy Dough

Step 1: Activate the Yeast

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm milk or water (about 100–110°F/38–43°C) with the sugar and instant yeast. Stir gently to dissolve the sugar and yeast.
  2. Let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy and bubbly. This step ensures that your yeast is active and ready to make the dough rise beautifully.

Step 2: Form the Dough

  1. Add the flour, salt, and oil to the yeast mixture. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, stir until all the ingredients come together into a soft, sticky dough. No kneading is necessary—just mix until there are no dry spots of flour.
  2. If the dough feels too sticky, sprinkle in a little extra flour, one tablespoon at a time, until it comes together. It should still feel slightly tacky but manageable.
