Step 1: Load the Crockpot

  1. Place the stew meat directly into the crockpot. No need to brown beforehand — the slow cooking process will make it tender and flavorful.
  2. Add the onion soup mix, brown gravy mix, cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms, and beef broth. Stir well to combine all the ingredients into a smooth, creamy sauce that will cook down into the perfect gravy.

Step 2: Slow Cook to Perfection

  1. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender and the gravy is thick and rich. Stir once or twice throughout cooking if possible, ensuring the meat stays coated and flavorful.
  2. If you prefer to cook it faster, you can set the crockpot on high for 4–5 hours, though the low-and-slow method gives the best texture and depth of flavor.

Step 3: Cook the Noodles and Serve
