Flourless and Butterless Chocolate Cake

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Batter

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease or line a small baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and lump-free. The bananas act as a natural sweetener, binding the ingredients and adding moisture.
  3. Add the eggs, ground oats, and unsweetened cocoa powder to the mashed bananas. Stir or whisk until the ingredients are fully combined and the mixture forms a smooth, thick batter.
  4. If desired, fold in optional ingredients like peanut butter or yogurt to adjust texture and richness.

2️⃣ Bake the Cake

  1. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  3. Let the cake cool completely before removing it from the pan to prevent breaking.

Serving & Storage

  • Slice the cooled cake into portions — an 80 to 100 gram serving is perfect for a light dessert or snack.
  • Serve with fresh fruit, a spoonful of natural yogurt, or a drizzle of melted dark chocolate for extra indulgence.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. The texture becomes even richer the next day.
