“Today,” she announced clearly, “we open the tenth facility providing homes, education, and hope to children in need.”
The audience erupted in applause, led enthusiastically by Daniel, now older and filled with immense pride.
When asked later what inspired her, Kayla smiled warmly at Daniel. “Someone believed in the promise of a scared little girl,” she replied softly. “He gave her the strength and opportunity to fulfill it.”
