Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the onion, bell peppers, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Combine Meat and Veggies: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Stir in the salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until everything is well combined.
  5. Add the Cream Mixture: Stir in the softened cream cheese and heavy cream until fully melted and creamy.
  6. Assemble the Casserole: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top evenly with provolone (or mozzarella) and cheddar cheese.
