Potato, Onion, and Cheese Fritters with Sour Cream Dip

Golden, crispy, and irresistibly cheesy, these Potato, Onion, and Cheese Fritters are the ultimate comfort food snack. Perfectly seasoned with a hint of mustard powder and served with cool sour cream or your favorite dipping sauce, they’re crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and utterly addictive. Ingredients (for 5 patties)

  • 1 large potato, grated and well drained
  • 1 onion, grated
  • ½ block of cheese (about 4 oz), grated – cheddar and Gruyère or another hard Swiss cheese work beautifully
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder (optional, for depth of flavor)
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Oil, for frying
