Ingredients
- 1 pound plain sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 (10-ounce) can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained very well
- 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped (optional)
- 2 tubes crescent rolls, each triangle cut in half lengthwise
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage crumbles, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel, and herbs (if using). Stir until the mixture is creamy and evenly blended. Set aside.
Unroll the crescent dough and use a pizza cutter to slice each triangle in half lengthwise, creating two long, narrow triangles from each original one. Using a small cookie scoop or a heaping teaspoon, place a portion of the sausage mixture onto the wider end of each crescent triangle.
Carefully roll up the dough from the wide end toward the tip, sealing the filling inside. Arrange the filled rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each one to allow for even baking. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
Serve warm and enjoy these creamy, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned bites straight from the oven. They’re an irresistible finger food that’ll have everyone coming back for more — the ultimate game day snack! 😋
