1. His gaze lingers longer than usual.
If his eyes stay on you even a second or two longer than necessary, take note. That brief pause—whether he’s looking into your eyes, your smile, or simply your face—often signals affection. Eye contact that’s a little too intense (but not creepy!) may mean he’s thinking romantic thoughts.
2. He “smiles” with his eyes.
Have you ever noticed someone’s eyes light up when they see you? That’s a sure sign. Genuine happiness is hard to fake, and when someone’s in love, their eyes naturally brighten, crinkle at the corners, or slightly widen. If his eyes seem to light up around you, chances are he’s got butterflies.
3. He looks at you—then quickly looks away.
This one’s for the shy guys. If he keeps glancing in your direction but immediately looks away when you catch him, he might be embarrassed to have been caught staring. It’s a classic move that says, “I like you, but I’m nervous!” Keep an eye out (pun intended) for those quick flashes of attention.
