Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.
2. Prepare the Mushroom Mixture:
In a skillet over medium heat, add a small drizzle of oil or butter. Sauté the chopped onions and mushrooms until softened and most of the moisture has evaporated — about 5–7 minutes. Let cool slightly before adding to the meat mixture. This step deepens the flavor and prevents excess moisture in the meatloaf.
3. Mix the Meatloaf Base:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined — avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
