Step 1: Prepare the Pan and Oven
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or tube pan, making sure every crevice is coated to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Cream Butter and Sugar
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3–4 minutes. This step incorporates air into the batter, giving the cake its signature soft texture.
Step 3: Add the Eggs
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to ensure even mixing.
Step 4: Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. This ensures the leavening agents are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
