Classic Tiramisu with Fresh Berries and Caramel Drizzle

Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare the Cream Filling

  1. In a heatproof bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler) and whisk continuously for about 5 minutes until thickened and pale. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the mascarpone until smooth, then gently fold it into the cooled egg mixture.
  4. Finally, fold in the whipped cream until the mixture is light, airy, and silky smooth.

Step 2 – Prepare the Coffee Syrup

  1. Brew strong espresso and let it cool completely.
  2. Stir in the coffee liqueur (if using) for added depth of flavor.

Step 3 – Assemble the Tiramisu
