Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples: Peel and core the apples, then cut them into evenly sized sticks resembling traditional fries. Try to keep the slices uniform so they cook evenly in the air fryer. Pat the pieces dry with paper towels — removing excess moisture ensures the coating sticks better and gives a crispier result.
  2. Set up the coating station: In one shallow bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and ground cinnamon, mixing until well blended. In a second bowl, beat the eggs until smooth. Place the panko breadcrumbs (or crushed graham crackers) in a third bowl. Having all three ready makes the coating process quick and tidy.
  3. Coat the apple fries: Working in small batches, dredge the apple sticks first in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Next, dip them into the beaten eggs to coat completely, then roll them in the panko crumbs to create an even, crunchy layer. Press gently so the crumbs adhere well.
  4. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat for about 3 minutes. Preheating helps the apple fries cook more evenly and crisp up faster.
  5. Cook the apple fries:
