Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3–4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp heavy cream or milk (as needed for consistency)
Instructions:
- Beat cream cheese and butter together until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, until desired sweetness and texture are reached.
- Mix in vanilla and a tablespoon of cream or milk until smooth and spreadable.
- Frost the cooled cake generously using an offset spatula for a smooth finish.
- Top with the remaining ½ cup of toasted pecans, pressing them gently into the frosting around the top and base.
