Italian Cream Cheese Pound Cake (with Frosting & Pecans) 🇮🇹

Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3–4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tbsp heavy cream or milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions:

  1. Beat cream cheese and butter together until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, until desired sweetness and texture are reached.
  3. Mix in vanilla and a tablespoon of cream or milk until smooth and spreadable.
  4. Frost the cooled cake generously using an offset spatula for a smooth finish.
  5. Top with the remaining ½ cup of toasted pecans, pressing them gently into the frosting around the top and base.
