Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen French fries (or 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries)
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • ½ cup cooked bacon bits (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or ranch drizzle

Instructions

1. Cook the Fries:

Prepare the fries according to package instructions — bake or air fry until golden and crispy. If making homemade fries, toss the potato slices in a bit of oil, season with salt, and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.

2. Cook the Beef:

While the fries cook, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned. Drain excess grease, then season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and remove from heat.

3. Assemble the Loaded Fries:

Once the fries are ready, spread them evenly on an oven-safe tray or skillet. Top with the cooked beef, bacon bits (if using), and a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese.

4. Melt the Cheese:
